After having read the script, she recorded her first session with a professional. According to Jonathan Glassner, the stunt team was astonished by how well she performed for her first lesson. She had never played a major role before in the US, as all of her filmography was shot in Australia. Jessica's skills in mixed martial arts, horse riding and weaponry as well as her capacity to pull off stunts, give her the opportunity to play a powerful female persona.
